Product Description: This is a generic, 1:20 scale, Climax. The class A Climax was the first widely used logging locomotive. They were designed to give maximum tractive effort with minimum weight. Speed was scrificed for power, and flexibility was their hallmark. The class A Climax used a two cylinder, marine steam engine, which was located in the cab. In operation, they were very slow and very noisy (grinding gear noises). The model is designed to use NWSL Magic Carpet drives (#8633-4). Fit one Magic Carpet drive to each truck to get adequate power.
